Fred G. Bromberg, MD is an Associate Chief Medical Officer and the Medical Director of Care Coordination and Utilization Management with Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem NC. Dr. Bromberg works with the System Chief Medical Officer and clinical leadership team to improve clinical communication, provide rapid awareness of and resolution of emerging issues, and to facilitate improvements in mission-critical areas of safety, quality and patient experience. He is also responsible for clinical leadership and support of the departments of Care Coordination and Clinical Documentation Excellence. Dr. Bromberg's background includes key clinical and executive leadership roles over 26 years with Overlook Medical Center and Atlantic Health System in Summit and Morristown NJ respectively.
Dr. Bromberg holds a BA degree from the Johns Hopkins University and received his MD degree from the University of Rochester School of Medical and Dentistry in Rochester NY. He completed his residency in Internal Medical at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons affiliated program at Overlook Medical Center. His background also includes 17 years practicing General Internal Medicine. Dr. Bromberg is a Diplomate of the American Board Internal Medicine. He is a member and fellow of the American College of Physicians, a fellow and member of the Board of Trustees of the American College of Medical Quality (ACMQ), and a member of the Board and Directors of the American Board of Medical Quality (ABMQ).
