Here are answers to frequently asked questions about Medical Quality 2019.

 

REGISTRATION AND GENERAL QUESTIONS

 

How can I cancel my registration?

Refunds, minus a $75 administrative fee, will be issued on written cancellations received on or before April 10, 2019. Phone cancellations WILL NOT be accepted. Registrants assume full responsibility for notification to and verification of receipt by ACMQ. Refunds will be processed 2-3 weeks after the meeting.

Refunds or credits will not be given for failure to attend, late arrival, flight/transportation cancellations, unattended events or early departure. In the rare event of a meeting cancellation, ACMQ is not responsible for nor will provide refunds for costs associated with travel, airfare, hotel or transportation costs incurred by the registered attendee. It is always recommended that the registrant considering purchasing independent travel insurance.

 

What's included with my Medical Quality registration?

Your registration includes access to vendors and the equivalent of two full days of educational programming. Breakfast and lunch is offered on Friday and Saturday, and daily AM and PM breaks with beverages and snacks.

 

How do I register for a pre-conference session?

Registration is available for these sessions during the regular MQ registration. Once you have registered for the meeting, you can add a pre-conference session to your registration here.

 

What forms of payment does the onsite registration desk accept?

Onsite we accept cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, and American Express. We highly recommend registering in advance, as onsite registrants are subject to a $25 onsite fee.

 

Can I purchase a one-day pass?

Yes, one-day rates are available for purchase on the registration page.

 

What is the appropriate dress attire?

Dress for all functions is business casual. Remember that meeting rooms tend to be cool, so dress in layers.

 

Do you offer childcare at MQ 2019?

We are not able to offer childcare for this event.

 

Will there be any form of accommodations for attendees that require accessibility?

We are pleased to make arrangements for attendees’ special needs. Please email info@acmq.org in advance of the meeting.

 

Will there be a coat check onsite?

We offer coat racks outside the general session room near registration during registration hours. Items are left at the risk of the individual.

 

Does ACMQ have a code of conduct for its conferences?

Yes, a Statement of Appropriate Conduct is posted here.

 

HOTEL & TRAVEL

 

Which airport should I fly to?

Bethesda has three major surrounding airports: Reagan National Airport, Dulles International Airport and Baltimore/Washington International Airport. They are all great options with easy access to downtown.

Taxi service is readily available at all three airports. Taxi cab fare is approximately $32 from R. Reagan to downtown Bethesda and $52 from Dulles to downtown Bethesda and $92 from BWI to downtown Bethesda.

Additionally, attendees may choose to utilize Bethesda’s Metro transit system which is well connected to surrounding areas. We recommend utilizing GoogleMaps transit function to plan your trip.

 

Should I purchase travel insurance?

In the rare event of a meeting cancellation, ACMQ is not responsible for nor will provide refunds for costs associated with travel, airfare, hotel or transportation costs incurred by the registered attendee. It is always recommended that the registrant consider purchasing independent travel insurance.

 

What is the AQ hotel room rate?

ACMQ has arranged for a group rate of $199/night + tax. We recommend booking your hotel room as soon as you confirm your attendance. Rooms must be reserved by March 20, 2019 and cannot be guaranteed even before this date.

 

Will there be WI-FI at the conference?

Yes, WI-FI will be available in the meeting space. Guestrooms booked within the ACMQ official room block at The Hyatt Regency Bethesda also include complimentary WI-FI.

 

PROGRAM AND EDUCATION

 

How can I obtain a copy of the presenter handouts/slides?

If a presenter has chosen to share his/her slides, they will be made available.

 

How can I present at MQ 2019?

 

Visit the Call For Abstracts page. Deadline to submit abstract proposals is January 14, 2019.
