The Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Workshop
from the American College of Medical Quality

Program Overview:

ACMQ’s Quality Improvement and Patient Safety (QI/PS) Workshop is an educational program that trains all members of your team in the fundamentals of quality improvement and patient safety. Our goal is to provide your team with a working knowledge of the theories, practices and tools used by the experts in the QI/PS. The workshop will include interactive sessions focusing on the tools, practices, and theories of leadership and strategy necessary for implementing successful quality improvement programs at your institution.

This, eight-hour workshop (delivered in one day or over two days) is designed for groups of no more than 30, is facilitated by expert faculty from the American College of Medical Quality, along with a member of your institution’s leadership. This inclusive representation allows customization to your organization’s goals and direction.

The College also offers the workshop as a pre-conference workshop at our annual conferences. Click here for information about our annual clinical conference.

Feedback from course participants:

  • "The presenters engaged the audience in their lectures and used care based discussion. These are good teaching skills"

  • "For me being a newbie, I think the pre-conference workshop was the most valuable part of the conference for me. Shucks, that's probably the only reason I passed the (CMQ) exam!"

  • "I believe the course was incredibly appropriate/useful for my (CMQ) exam preparation."
